Thousands of years ago, the griffins of Karth were viciously enslaved by the Pegasus race. Than one day a great dragon appeared and saw the harshness of the conditions. He than challenged the Pegasus King to a duel, if the dragon wins the griffins go free, if the Pegasus wins the dragons shall become enslaved. The dragon won tearing out the loser’s heart and set the griffins free. The dragon returned to his own realm but, promised that his descendants shall help lead the griffins to greatness.
Since then the visiting dragons were treated like gods until Erin arrived and messed up things so badly they turned hostile.
